Stephen Duffy is an English singer-songwriter who can boast of being the originator of the group Duran Duran along with John Taylor and Nick Rhodes. A group he left prematurely in 1979, long before the group exploded globally and made the career we know it.
Three years later in 1982, he created the group Tin Tin with which he enjoyed two major successes : "Kiss me" and "Hold it", two Singles which were released the following year in 1983.
An adventure that also comes to an end. We therefore find him solo from 1984 with a first Single "She makes me quiver" which will be a great esteem success. But it was a year later, in 1985, that he would finally experience the long-awaited consecration with the 3rd version of his song "Kiss me", which was to be a hit. Followed by little "Icing on the cake" which will also experience a nice run in the Charts. Singles from the album "The Ups and Downs" released the same year.
Also in 1985 released a new Single "Unkiss that kiss", taken from the future album "Because we love you" which will be released a year later in 1986. The Single, like the album, will only meet a small success, all like the other Singles that will be released later.
But not being ready for a change, we will find him some time later in a new group called "The Lilac time". But that's another story.

1981...the very beginnings in grouped mode. Beginnings which will go somewhat unnoticed but which at least have the merit of officially launching the adventure...

1983...it will take him 2 more years to finally take off, thanks to this title. A first classified title which will not be the last far from it...
1984...a multi-faceted artist found in his 'Tin Tin' version. With a first title of certain quality under this new banner...
1984 ... the rest will be a little less inspired despite a very Duran Duran sound. But is very revealing of what was happening across the Channel at that time...
1985...here he is now within the Dr Calculus adventure, a most ephemeral adventure which will not produce much of anything very concrete...
1985 ... which will surely remain as one of his most emblematic titles. After a 1st version released 2 years earlier and which will have gone relatively unnoticed, he does it again and this time, this version will be the right one. HU-GE !
1985 ... his BIG year with 3 top hits on the clock, a performance he would never repeat. So let's know how to appreciate them at their true value !
1985 ... we ended the year in style with this 3rd big caliber title. Of course, it will be the least prestigious of the 3 titles released that year, but we will largely be satisfied with it...
1986...we find hium in the Dr Calculus version the following year but what did not work the previous year will not work in this year 1986...
