The Glove is an ephemeral duo formed in 1983 by 2 heavyweights of the English new wave namely the bass player of "Siouxsie and the Banshees" Steven Severin and the singer of "Cure" Robert Smith.
The name of the group "The Glove" is actually a reference to the cartoon "Yellow submarine".
They recruit Jeanette Landray as a singer, a singer with little experience but with an incredibly close voice to that of Siouxsie Sioux.
Two singles will be taken from the single album "Blue sunshine" namely the excellent "Like an animal" and "Punish me with kisses".
But other titles are also worth seeing, such as "This green city" or "Mouth to mouth".
Ephemeral experience but which will have given birth to an extraordinary album, unclassifiable but incredibly rich in sounds.
To discover or rediscover.

1983 ... one of the best New-Wave sounds of the decade. When 2 gifted people get together to make a "beef album", the result is necessarily up to par !
1983 ... a decidedly extraordinary sound that works wonders piece by piece. Unfortunately, the group will go almost completely unnoticed ...
1983 ... a hint of Cure, sprinkled with a hint of Siouxsie and the Banshees, the best of the best, there's nothing to say !
1983 ... a single album but what an album ! Too bad the adventure stopped there because the result was really sumptuous
1983 ... one of the very very rare videos of the group. On a title with crazy lyricism, all in finesse and softness. A truly amazing adventure for 2 of the most gifted artists of their generation ...
