New Musik is an English group formed in London in 1977 by singer-songwriter Tony Mansfield, bassist Tony Hibbert and drummer Phil Towner.
The first single "Straight lines" was released in 1979 followed a few months later by the album "From A to B". The album is a huge success.
In particular thanks to other singles extracted like "This world of water", "Sanctuary" and especially the one that will become their biggest commercial success namely "Living by numbers". As well as the single "On islands" which will experience its heyday in France.
In 1981 the album "Anywhere" was released, the success was only relative despite the presence of quality titles like "Luxury".
The third and last album "Warp" was released in 1982, from which the excellent "A train on twisted tracks" will be released.
The group will split shortly after.

1981 ... a short-lived career, but better quality than quantity, as we say. And with them, no complaints !
1982 ... an inspiration constantly renewed which could, and should, have taken the group much further than where he stopped
