Electronic is a group formed by 2 sure values of the English scene of the 80s namely Bernard Sumner of the New Order and Johnny Marr, ex guitarist of the Smiths.
Who will collaborate on certain pieces with other sizes such as Neil Tennant and Chris Lowa of the Pet Shop Boys or Karl Bartos of Kraftwerk. Just that !
It is their mutual interest in the Italo House that is behind this project.
Their first single "Getting away with it" was released in 1989. It was a huge success and it will sell for around 250,000 copies !
The first album, named after the group, was released in 1991. The reviews were excellent and the singles "Get the message" and "Feel every beat" made a very good journey in the Charts.
But it was in 1992 that the consecration arrived with the release of the enormous single "Disappointed" which will remain as their biggest success.
Four years passed before the album "Raise the pressure" was released in 1996, from which the excellent "Forbidden city", "For you" and "Second nature" were released.
Will follow in 1999 the album "Twisted tenderness" which unfortunately will not have the quality of the previous ones.
Signing by itself the death sentence of this group which will have marked its time by its undeniable talent for innovation as well as the high quality of the titles produced.

1996 ... a quality that lasts over time. Normal, when we see the size of the different members of the group, the opposite would have been surprising !
1996 ... another piece of high flying. An extraordinary capacity to mix electronic music and traditional rock !
1996 ... not necessarily the best title of the group but once again the quality is there. We will largely be satisfied !
1996 ... an obvious New-Order influence to end the year in style. An adventure that lasts, that lasts, that lasts ...
1997 ... change of year and total change of style. A healthy or suicidal 180° turn ...? Case to follow as they say ...
1997 ... back to basics. We suspected that this sudden change of style was not natural. Unfortunately, the damage is done and the group will never return to the race ...
1999 ... already 10 years of existence on the clock for this group decidedly outside the norm. And still there. But not for very long ...
1999 ... almost the best for last. Another title of very large caliber and which shows once again all their talent. HU-GE !
