Tight Fit is an English group formed in 1981 by producer Ken Gold with the aim of using songs from the 60s to make them into medley. Group originally composed of Lowri-Ann Richards, Robert Pereno, Richard Scarfe, Martin Page and Brian Fairweather.
The group will experience a first success the same year with the single "Back to the 60's", single which will know a significant success on the Old Continent. Followed by a few sequel with the title "Back to the 60's Part 2". Two tracks taken from their first album "Back to the 60's".
A year later, change of producer and arrival of Tim Friese-Greene. Which reshaped the team somewhat and recorded the track "The lion sleeps tonight". Title which is in truth a luxury cover of the title of Tokens dating from 1961 and which will make a real planetary success. So much so that it will be one of the biggest hits of 1982.
Then follows the title "Fantasy island", a luxury cover of the Millionaires title released the same year. Takeover which gives the group another major success. Big year 1982 with the release of a third title "Secret Heart" which will also be popular with the public.
New, and last, luxury cover in 1983, this time on the Stephen Stills track "Love the one you’re with". Unfortunately, it will be one cover too many because the title will go completely unnoticed and the group will separate just behind.

1981 ... nothing very original in this first title if it is not a succession of luxury covers which works very well and which especially offers to the group a media exposure of which he did not hope so much

1982 ... one title, THIS title, was enough to make them definitively fit into the musical legend of the 80s. And once again on a luxury cover, this time of the Tokens title dating from 1961. It just goes to show that the best soups are made in old pots. HU-GE !
1982 ... the reworked version of the band works very well, with a team composition which strongly resembles, in terms of sound and style, another small Scandinavian group which particularly marked its time. Like an aftertaste of Abba ...
