Keith Sweat is an American singer-songwriter who began his artistic career in 1975 with a group called Jamilah, an obscure group based in the Harlem neighborhood of New York.
It was only in 1984 that he started solo, beginning by singing in New York nightclubs, clubs where he was noticed by the Stadium Records label. Label for which he will record in 1985 a title called "My mind is made up", single which will unfortunately go somewhat unnoticed.
Two years will pass before he signs in 1987 with a new label namely Vintertainment Records, label which allows him to record his first album "Make it last forever". And for a first album, it's a real success. The album hit the charts in particular thanks to the flagship single “I want her” which came out the same year, and to a lesser extent “Something just ain't right” and “Make it last forever” which, for their part, released the following year in 1988.
Success confirmed and especially amplified in 1990 with the release of the album "I’ll give all my love to you", an album which will be even stronger than its predecessor in the Charts. Album whose flagship single will be "Make you sweat".
Another notorious success a year later in 1991 with the release of the album "Keep it comin", which will mainly produce the single of the same name.
We will have to wait 3 years and the year 1994 to see the release of the following album "Get up on it", album which allows the artist to remain in the leading pack, notably with the title "How do you like it ?".
Followed in 1996 by the album "Keith Sweat", the consecration album which allowed the artist to achieve the biggest hits of his career as a single with the titles "Twisted" and "Nobody".
The album "Still in the game" was released in 1998 and confirmed the artist's status as a sure-fire of the moment. In particular thanks to the titles "Come and get with me" which came out the same year and "I’m not ready" which came out a year later in 1999.
A great adventure that will continue for the following decade and which will see the artist continue to garner major successes ...
