Boys Town Gang is an American group formed in 1980 by Dj Bill Motley, who will be accompanied at the start by singer Cynthia Manley.
Group that will remain mainly in the musical history of the 80s thanks to the enormous single "Can’t take my eyes of you", single which was released in 1982 and which literally set fire to every dancefloor on the planet.
As such alone, we had to devote this article to them.
To discover or rediscover.

1981 ... a very marked Dance orientation from the first title. A resolutely displayed bias that will pay off, at one time or another, that's clear ...
1981 ... in the same vein. Of course, quality is essential, but the level for the moment is not sufficient to reach the top of the Charts. There is still a little work to be done to produce THE title that could change everything ...
1981 ... and it's not for lack of trying. For the moment, there is quantity but the quality is after all average. It lacks the little stroke of genius that makes an ordinary title an exceptional title. But we believe it ...
1982 ... and THE exceptional title, here it is, you just had to be patient. The group signs here the biggest success of all its discography and especially one of the biggest dance hits of the decade, if not of the end of the XXth century. An awesome track that will set fire to all the Dancefloor on the planet and bring One Shot the group into the musical legend of the 80s. MO-NU-MEN-TAL !
1982 ... of course, it will be impossible for this title to compete with the previous gem. It would have been miraculous to repeat the feat almost immediately. No one is held to the impossible as they say ...
1984 ... after an empty year 1983, we find the group in great shape in this year 1984. Despite an obvious desire to do well, the group will never be able to touch the stars again. Pity...
1984 ... a big surprise to finish. After years and years of dance orientation, the group will finally deliver a track close to the Intimist register. And my gosh, it all works pretty well. Like what, they should perhaps have explored this path in more depth ...
