King Kobra is an American band formed by former Ozzy Osbourne drummer Carmine Appice, who was joined by Marcie Free, David Michael-Philips, Mike Wolf, and Johnny Rod in the band's early days.
The group released three albums during the 1980s : "Ready to Strike" in 1985, "Thrill of a Lifetime" in 1986, and "King Kobra III" in 1988.
The band disbanded in its original form in 1989 before reforming in the early 2010s.

Tracks :
1985...from the very first track, the general trend is clear : this group isn't going to mince words, as they say. So we've been warned...
1985...that doesn't mean their entire body of work will lack quality, far from it. We've already seen proof of that...
1985...as is very often the case with these groups, the style is particularly energetic, but paradoxically, this doesn't necessarily detract from the melodic side...
1986...it's simply their style and sound that inevitably set them apart from the crowd. Distinctive features they fully embrace, in any case...
1986...it's clear that the group won't remain the most famous in its field, but it certainly has nothing to be ashamed of in everything it produces, far from it...
1986...which will surely remain their signature song. A song that will also be featured on the soundtrack of the film Iron Eagle...
1988... a group that proved in three albums that it absolutely belonged among the greats. An adventure that, unfortunately, wouldn't extend beyond the 80s...
1988...one might have imagined they were set to last for decades and produce album after album. That wouldn't really be the case...
1988... there won't be a sequel for the next decade at least, nor for the one after that. Perhaps the story isn't quite over after that...
2011... indeed, just when we thought we'd never see them again, here they are back in a most unexpected way at the beginning of the 2010s...
2011...an unexpected comeback that is sure to delight longtime fans. Now we just have to see what they're bringing back with them...
2011...with plenty of substance at first glance, because this comeback won't just be a fleeting return for the sake of a momentary indulgence...
2013...we find them again two years later with this new album. A new album which clearly shows that they don't intend to stop now, at least not at first glance...
2013...and like most groups in this very particular musical field, they know how to rock hard but they also know how to produce top-notch 'emotional' tracks...
2013...what's certain is that they came back to show that the adventure, which ended prematurely at the end of the 80s, had to have a sequel...
2023...and the die-hard fans certainly won't complain, far from it. These are the same die-hard fans who always want more and more, and they'll be rewarded even more with this new opus...
2023...it remains to be seen whether this new album will be the last or not. But given the incredible craze for the 80s during this decade of the 2020s, we imagine they'll take full advantage of it to stay in the spotlight...
2023...so, will this be the final installment or not ? Only time will tell, but there's no reason why there shouldn't be a sequel to all this...
