The Motors is an English group formed in London in 1977 and originally composed of 2 ex Ducks Deluxe Nick Garvey and Andy Mcmaster, who will be joined by Rob Hendry and Ricky Slaughter.
Group which released a first Single "Dancing the night away" the same year, Single which will know a nice success in the Charts and launch the group in the best way possible. Title taken from the album "1" which also came out in 1977 and which, too, will be popular with the public.
But it is especially a year later in 1978 that the notoriety of the group will literally explode with the enormous success of the title "Airport", Single which will make a huge planetary success and which remains to this day one of the titles among the most emblematic of the end of the 1970s. Title on the album "Approved by the Motors" also released in 1978, album which will produce another major Single with the title "Forget about you".
Unfortunately, the adventure will come to an end at the beginning of the 80s with the release of the album "Tenement steps", an album with relative success and which will struggle to produce any Single of big caliber except the title "Love and loneliness", single title to know a semblance of notoriety.
A great adventure which will therefore end with this last album but which will at least have had the merit of producing one of the flagship titles of the end of the 20th century.

1977 ... a first title which ideally launches the group's career with a first classified title. Admittedly, there is still work to be done to hope to reach the big league but the beginnings are promising, it is clear ...
1977 ... the rest will be much more muddled with a title that will go somewhat under the radar. Can and must do better !

1978 ... still no improvement in sight. The level of inspiration is really not enough for them to hope to compete in anything with the best ...
1978 ... then the miracle comes ! We thought that they would only remain an obscure group in the future more than uncertain and here they are waking up in a truly incredible way by delivering a title that will undoubtedly remain as one of the most emblematic of the decade. Like what, in music, everything is always possible. MAS-TER-FUL !
1978 ... even if this title will not meet the same level of success as its predecessor, it still allows the group to stay in contact with the best. For how much longer, good question ...
1978...unfortunately the relapse will be severe with this new title. A new title that will go completely under the radar...
1980 ... here they arrived at the dawn of the 1980s without asking too many questions, neither about their future, nor about the new musical trends of the moment. For now, it's okay but not sure that this will be the case on the next title ...
1980 ... here they are playing it in Ultimate Slow mode, a real feat given their musical fundamentals. So astonishing of them that the public won't even know what to think about it ...
1980...an adventure which will unfortunately come to an end with a final title which will go somewhat unnoticed. Too bad because the group had everything he needed to do great things. Destiny will have decided otherwise...
