Carl Carlton is an American singer-songwriter who got noticed at a young age by performing a first title "So what" in 1966 under the pseudonym of 'Little Carl'. A pseudonym deliberately close to that of Little Stevie Wonder in order to maintain the confusion on their almost identical youthful voice...
It was the signing with the label Back Beat Record two years later in 1968 that would change the situation with the release of the Single "Competition ain't nothin'", a Single that would give the very young artist his first major success.
His first album "Can't stop a man in love" would not come until 5 years later in 1973, an album that would certainly be ranked but in the depths of the charts. The following album "Everlasting love" would do a little better a year later in 1974 but only thanks to the title that bears the name of the album.
New album "I wanna be with you" the following year in 1975, an album that will almost entirely pass under the radar...
He will have to wait until the beginning of the following decade to finally achieve a semblance of consecration in 1981 with the release of the album that bears only his name. An album that will remain as the highest ranked of all and which will especially give him his one and only top global hit with the title "She's a bad Mama Jama (She's built, she's stacked)".
New album "The bad C.C." in 1982, an album with much less success than its predecessor. As for the album "Private property" which will be released 3 years later in 1985, it will do even less well and will especially be the artist's last album to be ranked.

Tracks :
1966...a first title that allows the very young Carl to start making a name for himself. Admittedly in a very minimal way but still...
1966...the first titles will not allow him to achieve his first notable success, but it could be that the end of the decade will be a little more favorable to him at this level...
1968...the proof with this new title which finally allows him to obtain a first success. As if it were enough just to be a little patient...
1968...a very favorable year for young Carl since he achieved a second success here which can only reassure us about the rest of the events...
1969...the year 1969 will be a little bit lower in terms of success but no need to worry about the rest of the adventure in any case...
1970...a year 1970 which will be a one-track year. Of course he will only produce one track that year but it will have a rather flattering run in the Charts...
1971... new single-title year, it's becoming a habit. After all, as long as the little produced is classified, why worry about it more than that...
1971...given the few titles produced, it will therefore be necessary to bring to light titles not officially released and which would possibly have deserved to be...
1972...we continue in the series of single-track years. This time it will be in Intimist mode that we find the artist which varies the pleasures somewhat...
1973...the years follow one another...and inexorably resemble each other. Only one more title on the counter for this year 1973...
1974...the series of single-title years continues in style. This time we find him in luxury cover mode with this revisited version of the oh so famous title by Robert Knight dating from 1967 and like most of those who will take up this title it is guaranteed success !
1975...finally a year in many ways, we thought it would never be the case with him again. When he wants, he can...
1975...two titles will be released during this year 1975 and both will be classified, which shows that it was worth taking the gamble...
1976...multiple releases that will have lasted only one short year because the year 1976 will again be a single-title year. Definitely...
1976...so we will have to bring back to light titles that were not in their time. It would have been a shame to hide them...
1976...we are somewhat surprised by this unique exit strategy but everyone leads their career as they see fit, that's clear...
1980...a second part of the 70s decade with very few titles in the end, but here he is again no matter what at the start of this new decade...
1981...a start to the decade that saw him in particularly good shape since he would achieve his second biggest success here, no less...
1982...a very subtle title that will only bring him moderate income, which may seem somewhat surprising. Sometimes you shouldn't try to understand...
1982...this one on the other hand will bring him much more. In truth a revisited version of the title of the Four Tops dating from 1964...
1983...the rest will be much less favorable to him despite a more than obvious quality of title. It happens even to the best as they say...
1985...an adventure that continues no matter what. But as before in a titles release strategy that is at the very least minimalist...
1986...his last title officially released as a Single. This does not mean the end of the adventure, at least we hope so...
2010...he will come back, certainly, but many years later. An new opus will be released in 1994 but will go completely unnoticed...
2011...so we will have to wait until this new decade 2010 to finally see him raise its head a little. Finally...
2012...so last title or not ? As with him everything is possible, who knows if he might not surprise us again later...
