Sonia, her real name Sonia Evans, is an English singer who saw her career take off when the infernal trio SAW (Stock, Aikten, Waterman) became interested in her from 1989.
She released her first single "You'll never stop me loving you" the same year, when she was only 18, and the title immediately became number 1 in the English Charts, making her one of the most young English singers to have accomplished this feat.
Her first album "Everybody Knows" was released in 1990, including 5 singles that were ranked in the English Top 20, once again making her the first female artist to achieve such a feat.
Following tensions with the SAW, she went under the thumb of Nigel Wright with whom she produced her second album from which the single "Only fools (never fall in love)" would be taken.
Second album which is far from meeting a success as brilliant as the first.
In 1993, she represented Great Britain at the Eurovision Competition with the title "Better the devil you know" and finished in a very honorable second place.
His third album "Better the devil you know" was released the same year and once again the success was quite modest.
The career of this pretty redhead has been as dazzling as it is brilliant, but what she has accomplished will remain forever in the Book of Records.
