All in the way you dance...

LeVert is an American band formed in 1983 in Cleveland, originally composed of brothers Sean and Gerald Levert (sons of Eddie Levert, the same Eddie who created the O'Jays) and Marc Gordon.

The band released their first Single, "I'm Still," in 1985, a track that garnered significant attention and gave them their first major hit. This Single was taken from the album "I Get Hot," released shortly after, but unfortunately, it didn't achieve the same level of success.

Their next album, "Bloodline," performed somewhat better than its predecessor in 1986 on the charts, thanks in particular to the hit Single "(Pop, pop, pop, pop) Goes My Mind."

But that was before their next album, "The Big Throwdown," released a year later in 1987, which gave them their biggest hit Singles success with the massive hit "Casanova."

They achieved less success in 1988 with the release of the album "Just Coolin'", as well as with "Rope a Dope Style," which came out at the very beginning of the 90s.

It wasn't until 1993 and the album "For Real Tho'" that they made a comeback, primarily with the hit Single "ABC-123".

A final album, "The Whole Scenario," was released four years later in 1997, bringing them their last hit Singles, "Tru Dat" and "Sorry Is".

Tracks :

1985...a first track full of finesse which allowed the group to show from the outset that he had everything it took to do great things...

1985...a sequel that will go largely unnoticed, but it doesn't matter because the essential thing has already been done, namely that we know they exist...

1985...this title won't do any better than its predecessor, but there's no need to worry about them at this stage, that's for sure...

1986...business picks up again with this new title, and in fine style. Once again, the group plays it with finesse, and this time the objective is fully achieved...

1986...this one will have a hard time competing, but it will chart regardless. So far, all the hits have been recorded on the R&B charts, but at least there's that...

1987...the hits kept coming, proving that the group had made a name for itself in the music industry, as they say. Now all that remained was to land THE hit that would finally set them apart from the crowd...

1987...and THE title of recognition, the real one, is here ! They are about to achieve quite simply the biggest success of their entire discography and, at the same time, secure their direct ticket to posterity. HU-GE !

1987...it was difficult for this title to compete with the enormous juggernaut that came before, but it would still manage to pull through in a way that was more than certain...

1988...they're good at everything, which is definitely a plus. Proof of this is their new dance track, whose quality is more than evident...

1988...another big success, admittedly limited once again to the R&B charts, but it was a success nonetheless, and a significant one at that. Everything was going perfectly at this stage...

1988...it's certain they would like to be ranked in the so-called Traditional Charts as well, but being ranked in the R&B Charts isn't something everyone can achieve anyway...

1989...and it's better to be ranked in those charts than not at all, that's for sure. So there's no point in overthinking it and just continuing the adventure with peace of mind...

1989...the end of the decade allowed them to stay in the game without too much difficulty. Everything was under control, as they say...

1989...certainly they won't stay as the most talented group of their generation, but they certainly have nothing to be ashamed of in everything they can produce...

1990...because there's real quality in all of this, right from the start. And it's also certain that they don't intend to stop now that they're on such a good path...

1990...the beginning of the 90s saw them continue their slow but steady progress. Let's hope it lasts, as they say...

1991...and it looks like it should stay that way for a few more years. They're doing everything they can to make sure that's the case, anyway...

1991...a slight dip in form this time, but no need to worry about them at this stage. And what's to come might hold a pleasant surprise for them...

1993...because here comes the return of success in the so-called Traditional Charts. It just goes to show you should never stop believing in your lucky star...

1993...a year that will remain one of their best, with two major hits in quick succession. What more could you ask for more ?

1993...we were hoping for a hat trick, but unfortunately that wasn't to be. This didn't stop the song from charting, however, even if it only reached the R&B charts...

1997...we find them again 4 years later in what we can only call a certain form. Enough, in any case, to generate very positive buzz around them thanks to this new success...

1997...unfortunately, even the greatest adventures come to an end. And for them, the great adventure was about to end in terms of chart success...

1997... a track that wasn't officially released as a Single, but it would have been a shame to overlook it. Ideal for ending the adventure in the best possible way...
