Very little info about The Nick Straker Band other than the fact that they are an English band formed in the early 80's and composed of Nick Straker, Tony Mansfield, Tony Hibbert, David McShera, Pete Hammond and Phil Towner.
Group that will remain mainly in the musical history of the 80s for the title "A walk in the park". Single which will have a significant success at the planetary level this year.
As such alone, we had to devote this article to them.

1980 ... just a single title, THIS title, was enough to bring the group One Shot into the musical legend of the 80s. A startling to say the least. HU-GE !
1980 ... the talent is obvious and shows that the group is not there by chance. Even if this title will not be able to compete with its predecessor, it largely holds up !
1980 ... a BIG year 1980 with a plethora of titles and quality across the board. A group that will remain relatively unknown and that would have really deserved to make a nice place in the sun
1981 ... as the year 1980 was rich in titles, the year 1981 will be quite its opposite. No matter, only one title on the clock but which offers the group a well-deserved global recognition
1982 ... a sound and a perfectly trendy style which allow the group to deliver here an enormous title which will undoubtedly remain as one of its most emblematic. And yet this will only have limited success in the Charts. Go figure !
1983 ... the great adventure continues, but in rather disconcerting confidentiality. Why this group with such obvious talent will miss the recognition he deserves ...
1983 ... anyway, the group is not discouraged and continues to hang on for whatever reason. To our delight !
1984 ... already 4 years that the group delivers us titles to the quality more than certain. Not sure that it will last very long, but what is certain is that we would be wrong to sulk our pleasure !
1984 ... what's crazy is that it's an English band with an African-American sound. A real feat that few groups from across the Channel have succeeded in achieving !
1985 ... a band that will never be unworthy and with the most interesting discography. Too bad the public did not follow more than that ...
