Club Nouveau is an American group formed in 1986 in Sacramento, originally composed of Jay King, Valerie Watson, Samuelle Prater, Denzil Foster and Thomas McElroy.
Group signed with the Warner Bros. label. Records the same year, signature which allowed the production of a first album “Lie, love & Pain”. The album will be a real global hit and project the group to the forefront of the international music scene in a way that is, to say the least, resounding.
He will begin by producing two first hits with the titles “Jealousy” and “Situation #9” still in 1986 but it is above all the enormous “Lean on me”, which will allow the group to reach the heights of the year following in 1987. Album which produced a fourth major title with the title “Why you treat me so bad” also in 1987.
New album “Liste to the message” two years later in 1988, an album with much less success than its predecessor and which struggled to produce the slightest major hit. Only the title “It’s a cold, cold world!” » will manage to come out on top but only just...
A forced landing which was confirmed the following year in 1989 with the lackluster release of the album “Under a new groove”, an album which would only find its salvation through the release of the title “No friend of mine” .
A deceleration trend which will only accelerate in the years that follow despite the release of other albums and other Singles.

Tracks :
1986...first title and already first success, that's what we call an ideal start. Certainly the success is limited to the R&B Charts but all the same...
1986...confirmed success with this new title. A year 1986 which allows the group to show not only that he exists but also that he knows how to do it with quality too !
1987...from the 3rd title it's the planetary jackpot with this revisited version of Bill Withers' emblematic title dating from 1972. Not only will they achieve the biggest success of their entire discography but at the same time offer themselves a direct ticket for posterity. HU-GE !
1987...a sequel which will have great difficulty competing with the previous enormous steamroller. The title will be ranked but not comparable to the ranking level of its predecessor...
1987...a turnaround that is incomprehensible to say the least with this title which will not even be classified. We've gone from one extreme to the other...
1987...very timid return to the Charts and once again only to the R&B Charts. Back to square one as they say...
1988...they will have succeeded in making a huge hit on a title but they will never be able to repeat this unique feat afterwards...
1988...a turnaround which will not prevent them from continuing the adventure and on the principle which could prove them wrong...
1988...certainly the rest of the adventure will be much less glorious but they will manage to get a minimum of talk about them which is already not bad in itself...
1989...it is clear that they will not remain as the most talented group of their generation but what they will have produced in any case is far from uninteresting, that's for sure...
1990...it would still have been a shame not to talk about them simply because they will remain in history mainly for a title...
1990...they managed to produce no less than 6 albums during their entire career, which is no small feat. For the moment we are only at 3...
1992...this means that the adventure is far from over. They will hang on as much as possible and continue to produce titles of more than obvious quality...
1992...from this title onwards none of their titles will be classified in the Singles Charts but it doesn't matter, the main thing is to participate as they say...
1992...they will have known how to do Dance but they will also have known how to do it in the 'emotional' register, which doesn't spoil anything, quite the contrary...
1993...one could have imagined that they would throw in the towel more quickly than expected in the face of the lack of success but that will not be the case...
1994...they say to themselves that the adventure is worth pursuing and that a return to grace can never be ruled out. And why not...
1995...well it will never happen but hope keeps us alive as they say. So why deprive yourself of the pleasure of continuing to produce new titles...
1995...in any case, it's the core fans who rejoice to the highest degree as soon as a new opus is released. Here's a new one anyway...
1995...of course it will be the last for a long time but what is certain is that we will find them again later...
1998...first on this last title of the decade. But we might not see them again for a few years...
2010...it's going to take them 12 years to come back but here they are again anyway. All on this revisited version of the emblematic title of the group Timex Social Club dating from 1986...
2015...we find them 5 years later with a new opus, and yes, it goes to show that in music everything is still possible. The proof...
2015...certainly the album will go somewhat unnoticed but they will have at least tried. It would have been a shame not to do so...
2015...a furtive return to say the least since there will be no other title releases during this 2010 decade. This does not mean the end of the adventure...
2024...and yes because here they are again almost 10 years later. They will go to the end and it doesn't matter if there is success or not...
