La Unión is a Spanish band formed in Madrid in 1982 and originally composed of Rafa Sanchez, Luis Bolin, Mario Martinez and Iñigo Zabala. Group that can boast of having sold no less than 2 million records around the world to date, just that !
A group that signed a year later in 1983 with the WEA label, a label that enabled them to produce a year later in 1984 a first title called "Lobo hombre en Paris", a Single that was to be a real hit, to sell more of 200,000 copies and bring them from shadow to light in a sensational way.
Title taken from their first album "Mil siluetas" which will also be released in 1984 and experience significant success.
Success confirmed but not amplified with the release of the album "El malditoviento" the following year in 1985, an album which struggled to produce a hit worthy of the name. Ditto for the album "4X4" which will be released two years later in 1987.
Business picked up significantly in 1988 with the release of the album "Vivir al este del Eden", an album which will undoubtedly remain one of their most emblematic, notably through the titles "Mas y mas" and "Natalia".
New albums “Tentacion” in 1990, “Psychofunkster au lait” in 1993, “Hiperespacio” in 1996, “Fluye” in 1997 and “La Union” in 1999. Albums which will experience significant success once again.
But it is above all the album "El mar de la fertilitad", considered to this day by purists as the best album of all, which will put them back on the front of the stage at the start of the 2000s. Album worn at arm's length by the Single "Vuelve el amor".
A great adventure that will continue thereafter with the release of other albums certainly with less success but with success all the same.
