Test of time...

Little interesting news about Darkroom other than the fact that it's a Canadian band formed in the early 1980s and originally composed of Jim Gray, Alan Marks, Wolf Radke, Gary Law and Tim Palmar.

Group that will remain mainly in the musical history of the 80s for the big caliber single "In dim light", single released in 1983.

For that reason alone, we had to devote this article to them.

To discover or rediscover.

1982 ... a first title not devoid of interest even if it will experience only a very limited level of success. You have to start well one day ...

1982 ... a sound and a style that go well, everything comes together for the group to do great things. Unfortunately, like most Canadian bands, it's going to be a bit more complicated to manage than expected ...

1983 ... it is THIS title which will finally allow them to know a semblance of recognition. We are not talking about global success, far from it, but success all the same. It is already that as they say ...

1983 ... it is their particularly punchy style that will have somewhat complicated the matter. Too bad because there was potential in this group to do great things ...

1984 ... which will undoubtedly remain as one of their most emblematic titles. The group now has perfect control over its environment and it shows. Above all, you can hear it ...

1984 ... unfortunately, it starts all over again. Not sure that this overspeed is the best way to reach the general public ...

1985 ... we won't do them again so we'll have to deal with it as they say. But it will be at the cost of an inevitable and above all counterproductive setting aside ...

1985 ... anyway the adventure continues at all costs. Their will to move forward commands respect but not changing anything does not really go in the direction of the story ...

1985 ... we would have really liked a very clear slowing down of the tempo or a slight reorientation on the sound side, but neither of them will happen. A career path that leaves you thinking ...

1985 ... a hardship that will shorten their career drastically. The exit door is already approaching with great strides and nothing, and no one, will be able to change anything ...

1985 ... overall, they still have to be recognized as having a certain talent. Admittedly, their style will not have allowed them to emerge in broad daylight more than that but will have allowed them all the same to produce several singles of big caliber ...

1985 ... an adventure that ends on a par with the tempo of almost all of their discography, namely thoroughly. When it's written, it's written ...
