The Adventures are an Irish band formed in Belfast in 1984 and made up of Teery Sharpe, Pat Gribben, Eileen Gribben, Gerard Murphy, Tony Ayre and Paul Crowder.
Their first single "Another silent day" came out the year of their training but met with only limited success. Conversely, the single that follows "Send my heart" is a hit in many European countries and explodes the notoriety of the group overnight.
Their first album "Theodore and Friends" which came out a year later in 1985 was acclaimed by critics but paradoxically, did not really find its audience.
It wasn't until 1988 and the release of the album "The sea of love" that the band finally achieved the success it deserved. The album this time is a hit on both sides of the Atlantic and at the same time offers them their biggest single success with "Broken land".
From the same album will be extracted "Drowning in the sea of love" and "One step from heaven". The first will have a good run in a good number of Charts in Europe. The second much less.
The 1990 album "Trading secrets with the moon" did not produce any major hits.
The year 1993 will see them find a - last - semblance of success with the singles "Raining all over the world" and "Monday Monday", both taken from the album "Lions and tigers and bears".

1988 ... then nothing for 3 years. It is to better come back in force in this year 1988. The group signs here quite simply the biggest hit of its career and thus returns definitively in the musical legend of the Eighties. MAS-TER-FUL !
1988 ... a decidedly exceptional 1988 with a second top hit in the wake. A truly beneficial 3-year break that will have boosted the group like never before !
1988 ... a third small hit to end the year in style. The year of consecration for this group which will remain as one of the best of its generation
1990 ... new decade and new sound. Result of the races : unfortunately not much. The new decade is not going to be the most favorable for them, that's for sure ...
1992 ... the group temporarily returns to success. But we are far, very far from the summit of the Charts ...
1993 ... and we end with a luxury cover of Mamas and the Papas on one of their cult title dating from 1966. We will be satisfied ...
