Gary Moore was an Irish singer who really began his artistic career with the band 'Skid Row' between 1968 and 1971 and then continued it with 'Thin Lizzy' between 1974 and 1979.
This will not prevent him from producing in 1973 a first solo album "Grinding stone", an album which will unfortunately go somewhat unnoticed...
It was the release in 1978 of his second solo album "Back on the streets" which finally allowed him to be talked about personally with the Single "Parisienne walkways". Title which was released a year later in 1979 and which offered the artist his first solo success.
Return in grouped mode the following year in 1980 within a group called 'G-Force', a group which will produce only one album of the name of the group and which will pass somewhat under the radar...
The grouped mode having not really benefited him, return to solo in 1982 with the album "Corridors of power". Album which will give him his first success on both sides of the Atlantic thanks to the Single "Always gonna love you".
Success confirmed and amplified on a planetary level with the release in 1983 of the album "Victims of the future", an album which paradoxically did not manage to produce a hit of planetary class precisely...
It was the following album "Run for cover", which was released in 1985, which finally gave the artist his first planetary top hit with the title "Out in the fields". Title he performs with his former companion from Thin Lizzy, namely Phil Lynott.
The rise in power was impressive year after year and led to the release in 1987 of a new album “Wild Frontier”. Album that will be even stronger than its predecessor thanks to the flagship Single “Over the hills and far away”, an enormous title which becomes its first planetary mega hit.
Small drop in speed in 1989 with the release of the album "After the war", an album with less success than its predecessor and which will mainly produce the Single of the same name.
The supreme consecration the following year with the release of the album "Still got the blues", album which will remain as the best classified of all and which will produce one of its biggest Singles namely "Still got the blues ( For you)”.
New notorious success in 1992 with the album "After hours", album which will paradoxically produce his last hit of planetary level with the Single "Cold day in hell".
Other albums will be released subsequently but none will reach the level of success of the albums that preceded it.
Artist who will leave us on February 6, 2011 at the age of 58 following a cardiac arrest while on vacation in Spain.
