There's not much interesting information about Scooter, other than the fact that it's a Belgian band founded in 1979 in Antwerp, originally composed of Herwig Duchateau, Jan Fraeyman, Jo Duchateau, Piet Van Den Heuvel, and Pit Verlinde.
The band will primarily be remembered in the musical history of the late 20th century for their hit Single "You (Don't Want to Be Number One)" released in 1981.
For this reason alone, we felt compelled to dedicate this article to them.

Tracks :
1981...it's really hard to imagine that this group is of Belgian origin, and yet it's true. Now it remains to be seen whether this Anglo-Saxon sound is just for show...
1981...a quality follow-up that proves that this group has real and solid musical foundations, which can only reassure us about what's to come...
1981...it was with THIS song that the group finally achieved significant recognition and, at the same time, the biggest hit of their entire discography. Good job, as they say !
1981...the group impresses with its ability to venture into Anglo-Saxon territory without asking too many questions...
1982...because not only did they go, but they were far from being ridiculous. Of course, they'll never be able to compete with the best, but still...
1982...they just lacked that little stroke of luck that could have propelled them even higher, but they certainly had everything they needed to...
1982...after that, a group's career often hinges on details or origins that don't help them achieve significant international success...
1982...in any case, they certainly have nothing to be ashamed of regarding everything they have offered, because there was quality in all of it, from beginning to end...
1982...normally most Belgian groups of that era produced primarily electronic music. This group was therefore a true exception...
1983...an high-quality exception, in any case. The adventure ultimately lasted only a few years, but their three albums clearly demonstrated that they were certainly not there by chance...
1983...they didn't have time to establish themselves as they should have, but at least they tried. That's already that, as they say...
1983...they really missed out on reaching that final hurdle of global recognition, which they struggled with until the very end...
1983...a final title to conclude a truly wonderful adventure that frankly deserved a sequel. Fate, unfortunately, decided otherwise...
