Zinno is a Belgian group formed in 1985 and composed of Frédéric Jannin and Jean-Pierre Hautier.
Not much about them except that they will remain in the musical history of the 80s mainly for a single title namely "What’s your name".
Enormissime title made famous by a musical base full of JamesBondienne references.
Just for this nugget, we had to devote this article to them.
To discover or rediscover.
Discography (among others ...) :
What’s your name ? 1985
Money is honey 1986
Get up and boogie 1987
Russian roulette 1989
1985 ... the title of a lifetime ! The group signs here its main success, a HUGE Dance title which will undoubtedly remain as one of the biggest titles of the decade. MAS-TER-FU-LLY crazy !
1986 ... a sequel in the same vein. Except that the result with the public is not going to be the same at all. Like a shooting star, the group will have passed into the musical landscape of the 80s at the speed of light ...
1987 ... and yet the group had significant potential. A potential unfortunately poorly exploited which will have deprived the group of greater recognition from the public. Hard law of the trade ...
1987 ... there is inventiveness and an almost unique wacky side, that's clear. Unfortunately, this grain of madness only worked once. Pity...
1989 ... one last little title and then it goes. This group will have been a real UFO, completely outside the standards of the time. A blessed time when anything was possible. The proof !
