Her love is so raw...

Alyson Williams is an American singer who started her artistic career as a backing vocalist for artists such as Curtis Hairston, Melba Moore and Bobby Brown. But also for groups such as 'B.B. & Q. Band', 'Cashflow' as well as 'Unlimited Touch'.

Then we find her as a real singer in the early 80s in a group called 'High Fashion' and then 'The Affair'.

The solo career, the real one, started in 1986 with the release of the single "Yes we can can", a single which unfortunately went somewhat unnoticed...

She would have to wait until the following year to land her first success with the release in 1987 of the Single "Make you mine tonight".

But it is above all the year 1989 that will see her take off in a spectacular way with the release of the Single "Sleep talk", a Single that will make a real worldwide hit and bring her the semblance of consecration after which she has been chasing since her debut.

Single taken from the album "Raw" which was also released in 1989 and which will confirm all the good that we could think of the singer. Album which will produce another high caliber Single with the title "My love is so raw".

A second self-titled album was released three years later in 1992, but without experiencing the same level of success as its predecessor.

A counter-performance that will more or less seal the fate of the singer, who will eventually gradually disappear from the radar...

To discover or rediscover.

Clips :

1987...a career start that combines 2 and which will bring her her first classified title. So thanks to her partner Chuck Stanley on this one...

1989...but that's without counting on this new title which will quite simply project her in a sensational way on the front of the international scene. She will sign here quite simply the biggest success of her entire career and get One Shot a direct ticket for posterity. HU-GE !

1989...she likes duets at first sight. Here she is now alongside Nikki D, a new duo that will succeed once again given the success of the title...

1989...three titles classified during this year 1989, what more could you ask for ! The singer is on a little cloud and everything smiles at her as if by magic...

1989...and 4 ! She strings together hits like others string pearls, all with disconcerting ease. Hope it lasts...

1989...for now, it lasts anyway ! Fifth success of the year, who would have thought it possible two years ago ? Not many people, that's for sure...

1990...a transition to the next decade which will prove to be much more complicated to manage than expected. With an unscrewing in the Charts in a way for the less violent...

1991...the problem with reaching the top of the mountain too quickly is that you can only go down behind it. Basic principle that the singer will learn at her expense unfortunately...

1991...as much as she knew how to create the event at the start of her career, she subsequently failed to maintain herself at the highest level as she should have. Really unfortunate...

1992 ... when we thought she was going to smash everything, it is her who will smash in the end. With a year 1992 which will be the last of her career on the front of the stage...

1992 ... she will still succeed in classifying each title released during that year but only in the R&B Charts. It's already that you will tell me...

1992...the last classified title. Which does not mean the end of her career, but all the same a second part of her career which promises to be a little further back from the star system...

2004...here she is back 12 years later. It remains to be seen how she intends to carry out this second part of her career...

2004...all finesse at first sight. And even if it won't bring her more than that, we'll be happy with what she's now offering us...

2004...here she is playing it as a luxury cover with this revisited version of the Simply Red title dating from 1985. Admittedly the copy is not worth the original but allows her to offer a somewhat different version...

2016... the air holes follow one another and we will lose sight of her again for almost 12 years. But she comes back again, again and again...

2020...even if she doesn't produce much anymore, she makes it a point of honor to come back every decade. A desire to believe in it always and again which commands respect incontestably...

2020... so we imagine that this title will not be the last. It remains to be seen in which register we will find her next time...
