Evelyn Thomas, whose real name is Ellen Lucille Thomas, is an American singer who experienced her first success in 1976 with the single "Weak spot".
She released her first album "I wanna make it on my own" in 1978. Album with modest success. Followed a year later in 1979 by the album "Have a little faith in me". Album which will allow her this time to get his first major success thanks to the eponymous title.
But she will have to wait 5 years and the year 1984 to reach supreme consecration thanks to the enormous single "High energy", single which will sell more than 7 million copies worldwide ! Single extract from the album of the same name.
The title sets fire to all dancefloors on the planet and launches the Hi-NRG standard, which will become one of the main musical references in dance for the years to come.
Then follows the single "Masquerade" which works well in all the Clubs of the Old Continent but moderately in the USA. "Heartless", still from the same album, was released in 1985 and enjoyed greater success in the United States.
The singles "Reflections" and "How many hearts", both released in 1986, enjoyed only relative success. Singles from the album "Standing at the crossroads" released in 1987.
The adventure ended in 1989, when the singer voluntarily stepped back from the star system.
