The Expression is an Australian band formed in 1981 in Sydney by Jason O’Donnell and Steve Layton. Who will be joined quickly by Stephen Manassah, Steve Hopes and Tom Haran.
Their first single "With closed eyes" came out two years later in 1983 and for a first try, the test was quite successful. While the success was limited to Australia, the single did a good run in the local Charts.
The same year released their eponymous first album which, too, was to be a definite success in the land of kangaroos. Album which will also produce two other major singles "Decisions" but also and above all the magnificent "Total eclipse".
Two years later in 1985 the album "Conscience" was released, an album from which two new singles "Present communication" and "Small brave land" were extracted. The album, like the singles, would experience only limited success. Resulting by itself the irreparable decline of the group thereafter.
