The Escape Club is an English band formed in London in 1983, originally composed of Trevor Steel, John Holliday, Johnnie Christo, and Milan Zekavica.
The band released their first Single, "Breathing," that same year, a Single that unfortunately went largely unnoticed.
It was signing with EMI in 1985 that allowed them to release their first album, "White Fields," a year later in 1986, an album that also went largely unnoticed.
A change of label in 1987 to Atlantic Records proved beneficial, as the album "Wild Wild West," released the following year in 1988, became a massive worldwide hit and propelled the band to the forefront of the international music scene.
Thanks in particular to the massive hit Single of the same name, which was played on repeat on MTV, unlike British television, which initially boycotted it due to concerns about disembodied figures and shocking lingerie.
It would be another three years before the release of the album "Dollar and Sex" in 1991. This album wouldn't quite reach the same level of success as its predecessor, only managing to stay afloat thanks to the Single "I'll Be There."
This relative success marked the end of the group's high-profile run, despite the release of other albums afterward.

Tracks :
1983...the sound is trendy on this first track, but unfortunately that won't be enough to launch the group into the limelight...
1985...they really didn't need much more to take off. Just that little something extra that makes all the difference, as always...
1986...at least they're working on it. And there will come a time when they'll manage to produce THE hit that marked their first real breakthrough...
1986...everything is in place for it to happen, it's just a matter of time, as they say. Patience, patience...
1986...it won't be for the mid-80s yet, but what is certain is that the group is steadily and linearly gaining momentum...
1988...and as expected, all their efforts finally paid off thanks to THIS song. They achieved the biggest hit of their entire discography, a worldwide success that also earned them a direct ticket to the musical pantheon of the 80s. HU-GE !
1988...a sequel that won't manage to compete with the enormous juggernaut that came before, but will still come out on top...
1989...after an exceptional year in 1988 for the group in every respect, 1989 will seem somewhat lackluster in comparison, it must be said, with only one title released and very limited success...
1991...they will at least manage to ask themselves the right questions and bounce back spectacularly at the beginning of the 90s. A return to success worthy of the name...
1991...a new major hit that reminds everyone they're not there by chance, that's the good news. The bad news is that this major success will indeed be their last...
1991...the year 1991 had started perfectly well but will end somewhat in general indifference with this title that will 'go unnoticed' as they say...
2005...then a major hiatus of 14 years, which is no small thing. But here they are again, no matter what, and with quality material, it has to be said...
2005...the group managed to reinvent himself perfectly during this long break, but their prolonged absence won't help bring the public back...
2005...frankly, it's a shame because what they're offering us today is really solid and deserved far greater recognition than it received...
2005...so it's difficult to believe in the future under these conditions and there's a strong chance the group won't recover...
2012...we thought we'd never see them again, and yet here they are, almost seven years later. It comes from a good place, but the chart performance will be the same as the previous album...
2012...we would have honestly preferred the opposite to happen, but all their efforts to return to the forefront of the scene were in vain...
2012...after that, knowing them, since nothing is ever truly over, it's still possible that we'll find them again at some point...
2023...we suspected we'd see them again sooner or later. And now it's happened with this new track...
