Waiting for the seventh man...

Positive Noise is a Scottish band formed in 1979 and originally comprised of the Ross brothers, Graham and Fraser Middleton, Russel Blackstock and Les Gaff.

Their first achievements appear on the compilation "Second city Statik" which was released a year later in 1980. But they will have to wait another year to finally experience success thanks to the release of two singles in quick succession that are "Give me passion” and “Charm”.

Their first album "Heart of darkness" was also released in 1981 and will also be popular with the public. Even if this success will be limited to independent Charts whether it is singles or album side.

New album "Change of heart" a year later in 1982, album which confirms the good health of the group with the production of 3 new singles starting with "Positive negative" then "Waiting for the 7th man" and "Get up and go”.

They will release a last album "Distant fires" in 1985, album with very modest success. A poor performance that will stop the group's rise sharply and precipitate its downfall irreparably ...

Clips :

1981 ... after a few unsuccessful attempts, the group obtained his first esteem success with this title. In a very trendy style from the early 1980s ...

1981 ... a first esteem success followed by a first short success. Admittedly this title will be classified exclusively in the independent Charts but it is always what won as they say !

1981 ... a year 1981 rich in titles and which will indisputably remain as their best vintage in terms of results in the Charts. This will not prevent them from producing other quality titles afterwards ...

1982 ... it is clear that they will never reach the big leagues but what they have produced will not be unworthy, far from it. The main thing is to participate as they say ...

1982 ... a linear career which will never see the production of major titles but which will still allow the group to leave at least a trace in history. Many would be satisfied ...

1983 ... especially as the style as the sound evolves rather in the good direction as the years go by. Too bad because this group had potential but he did not know how to take advantage of it more than that ...

1984 ... a new proof with this title of more than certain quality. Title that will surely remain as their most successful. We would have liked the adventure to continue a little longer but unfortunately fate will have decided otherwise ...
