Laurent Voulzy, whose real name is Lucien Voulzy, is a French singer-songwriter who started his musical career at the age of 14.
He goes from group to group ("Les tigers", "Les Ellences", "Mark Robson Sound", "Temple de Vénus", "Le Poing" ...) without meeting the expected success until 1974, a very decisive year for him because he will meet a certain… Alain Souchon.
Their first collaboration gave birth to the album "Petite Annonce", renamed a few years later "J'ai 10 ans".
In 1976 the album "Bidon" was released, then "Jamais content". And finally in 1977, the enormous tube which will explode the singer's career, namely the now legendary "Rockollection".
It was not until 1979 that he released his first album "Coeur Grenadine".
The artist confirms his undeniable talent, success is there.
The year 1983 saw the release of the album "Bopper en larmes" from which is extracted the Single of the same name. Single which will know a certain success.
But it was a year later, in 1984, that his notoriety exploded with the release of the Single "Desire desire" that he sang in duet with one of the flagship actresses of the time, namely Véronique Jannot.
The ultimate consecration arrived in 1985 with the release of the sublime Single "Belle Ile en Mer" which remains to this day one of his most beautiful compositions as well as one of his biggest successes.
Single which will be followed by few other flagship titles namely "Nuits sans Kim Wilde".
In 1987 the beautiful ballad "My song of you" was released.
Then in 1988 came out the luminous title "Le soleil donne".
It will take 4 years to see the arrival of a new Single which will be the excellent "Paradoxal system". "Le pouvoir des fleurs" will soon follow.
An extremely talented composer, he later produced other magnificent albums for him.
And other wonderful Singles for others.

2017...this universe will appeal less to the general public, it is clear. It comes from a good feeling to want to diversify his musical universe but it is clear that he is less effective in this one on the inspiration side...
2020...he will have gone through the 70s, then the 80s, then the 90s, then the 2000s, then the 2010s and here he is starting this new 2020s. But how far will he go, good question. Only the future can answer this question...
