Eight Seconds is a Canadian band formed in 1982 in Ottawa and made up of Andrés de Castillo, March Cesare, Frank Levin, Scott Milks and Marc Parent.
The fate of the group changed in 1983 when they won a competition organized by CHEZ FM radio, the first prize of which was the production of a music video for the winning song.
This is how the track "Where’s Bula" will suddenly find its way onto MuchMusic and MTV and thus obtain an unexpected audience.
But it wasn't until 1986 that the band really took off with the release of the album "Almacantar", which produced their first big hit with the flagship track "Kiss you (When it’s dangerous)". And which also contains the excellent "Call and a cry", "Land of the monster" and "Commissioner street".
And it will take four more years to see the release of their second album "Big Houses", less successful and which will be extracted mainly the single hit "Tell Diane".
And who will be their last because their label will disappear shortly after and them with. Too bad because the group frankly deserved to go even further.
