Morrissey, whose real name is Steven Morrissey, is an English singer who began his musical career as the leader of the group "The Smiths". He is also particularly recognized for having been one of the great innovators in Indie music (Independent Stage).
He was first part of “Nosebleeds” in 1978 before switching to “The Smiths” from 1982. Flagship group of the 80s which produced hits such as “This charming man”, “What difference does it make ?" and others "Heaven knows I’m miserable now".
The singer's first solo album "Viva hate" was released in 1988, eight months after the breakup of "The Smiths". And for a first draft, it's a masterstroke. The album is a huge success, notably thanks to 2 major tracks which are "Suedehead" and "Everyday is like Sunday"
New successes in 1989 with the release of the album "Bona drag" from which the Singles hits "The last of the famous international playboys" and "Interesting drug" will be extracted.
The pass of 3 will not happen as the next album "Kill Uncle" is only relatively successful.
Business resumed in 1992 with the album "Your arsenal" which will count as the main hit "We hate it when opur friends become successful".
Two years later, in 1994, new album No.1 of the Top album with "Vauxhall and I" which Morrisssey considers his best. And which contains the hit "The more you ignore me, the closer I get." But it will be his last major success.
He will produce a last Single hit with the track "Interlude" which he sings in duet with Siouxsie Sioux. Other albums will be released later but will not be able to compete in quality with the previous ones.
