Animotion is an American band formed in Los Angeles in 1983 and originally composed of Astrid Plane, Bill Wadhams, Paul Antonelli, Charles Ottavio and David O’Brien.
A group that released their eponymous debut a year later in 1984. And for a first try, it was successful, to say the least, since the album was a hit across the North American continent.
In particular thanks to the enormous single "Obsession", a single which was released the same year and which, for its part, was to be a worldwide hit. A single that will remain as the best ranked of their entire discography.
The band's flagship album, which produced a second big-caliber single the following year in 1985 with the title "Let him go".
The year 1986 saw the release of the album "Strange behavior", an album of lesser success on the North American continent but which this time enjoyed the favor of the European public. Album from which will be extracted the flagship single "I engineer" and to a lesser extent "I want you".
New album "Animotion (Room to move)" three years later in 1989, album with the most mixed success. He will still produce the last major single of the group namely "Room to move" but will inexorably precipitate the fall of the latter ...

1984 ... a single title, THIS title, was enough to make the group's fortune and glory. From the outset, the group has a talent for writing and above all an inspiration more than obvious and delivers here one of the best dance titles of the year. HU-GE !
1985 ... on the other hand, it is clear that with them we will have to talk above all about quality rather than quantity. Because the number of singles produced will be very limited. But we will largely be satisfied with it !
1986 ... a group which knew how to mix perfectly US influences and influences from across the Channel. An extremely rare thing among Americans, which is all the more remarkable !

1989 ... the group plays it luxury cover on this occasion with this revisited version of the title of Climie Fisher dating from 1987. And the least we can say is that the copy is well worth the original !
1989 ... the adventure was short but the adventure was most interesting ! A group that had all the potential to continue the adventure in the best conditions but unfortunately fate will have decided otherwise ...
