Laura Pausini is an Italian singer who really started her artistic career in 1987 at the age of 13 thanks to the production by her father, a pianist by profession, of a demo album called "I sogni di Laura". Demo album containing 8 covers of known titles as well as 5 original titles, 13 titles which will unfortunately go somewhat unnoticed...

It was at the very beginning of the 1990s that things began to pick up speed with participation in the Castrocaro festival in 1991, a festival where she did not manage to reach the final. The same year we will find her at the Sanremo Famosi which is used to select the future talents that we normally find later at the official Festival of San Remo. Although she was declared co-winner of the selections with another competitor, she will not be allowed to appear at the official festival a year later in 1992...

It was the meeting with the producer and composer Angelo Valsiglio in 1993 that would completely change the situation, in particular thanks to the recording of a small title called "La solitudine". Title which will become a real phenomenon starting with an unexpected but brilliant victory at the San Remo Festival that same year. Then by a level of success of the most flattering achieved by the title in most of the Charts of the Old Continent.

Title that we will find the same year on his first eponymous album and which will also experience a most flattering success with 3 million copies sold around the world ! Enormous success which will project the young singer – then still a student – on the front of the international musical scene in a way that is, to say the least, sensational !

We find her again in San Remo the following year in 1994 with the title "Strani amori", a title which will not win the festival this time but which will nevertheless finish in a very honorable 3rd place. Title which will know a huge success in turn in the Charts and which will reinforce the side of phenomenon of the moment of the singer. Title taken from the album "Laura", an album that will sell even more than its predecessor since it will ultimately reach 4 million copies sold.

Success confirmed but not amplified two years later in 1996 with the release of the album "Le cose che vivi", an album which will mainly produce the title "Incancellabile". The album "La mia riposta" which will be released two years later in 1998 will not do much better and will come out in extremis with the title "Un'emerganza d'amore".

It will be necessary to wait for the year 2000 and the release of the album "Tra te e il mare" to see the singer return to the top of the race thanks in particular to the enormous Single which bears the name of the album.

A return to this extreme level of success which only lasted the time of the album because everything that will be released thereafter will never manage to equal the level of success reached during the 90s.

This will not prevent her from continuing the adventure thereafter and producing albums and Singles of more than certain quality...

1987... who would imagine for a moment that this young girl named Laura would become a few years later one of the biggest stars of song on a planetary level ? Not many people, that's for sure...

1987...but as they say you have to start well one day. And for the young Laura it will go through this first demo album which will have at least allowed her to show that she exists...

1987... it is clear that there is still a lot of work before she can hope to join the big leagues. But she's working on it, she's working on it...

1993...a job that will last nearly 6 years but will bear fruit and what fruit ! She will sign here quite simply one of the most beautiful Intimist titles of this end of the 20th century and become de facto one of the biggest musical phenomena of the moment. MAS-TER-FUL !

1993...difficult for this title to compete with the previous gem, that's for sure. Even if it will not reach the same level of success, it is far from deserving in any case...

1993...surprisingly for the moment she hasn't been able to confirm in the Charts all the good that we could think of her. Patience, patience...

1994...it was clear that it was only a matter of time because business resumed with this title. It could not be otherwise...

1994...a beginning of the year which allows her to confirm that she is surely not there by chance. The rise in power is real and necessarily the harbinger of a more flourishing career...

2015...even if the level of success has nothing to do with previous decades, she makes it a point of honor to come back almost every year. Mighty feat !

2015... what is also certain is that the Italian public continues to follow her and believe in her, which is not bad. In any case, this is enough to motivate her and above all to not let go of anything until the end...

2015...another title that will go under the radar despite a more than certain quality. As long as she manages to maintain a sufficient level of quality, which is the case, why throw in the towel prematurely...

2016...we must not forget either that she began her career in 1987, which already gives a longevity that is exceptional to say the least, it is clear...

2016... an exceptional longevity that we only find as always among the most gifted artists of each generation of which she is necessarily a part...

2018...the 2010 decade will not have been as glorious as the previous decades but she surely does not have to be ashamed of what she will have continued to offer...

2018...here she is in trio mode with the Brazilians Simone & Simaria. A trio of fire which unfortunately will not be rewarded at the height of its burning side...

2018...this one will do a little better, but only just. Times are getting tougher on the Singles Charts side and things aren't going to get any better...

2018...after all, the main thing is that she continues to enjoy what she does. If there is success so much the better if not too bad...

2018... what we absolutely cannot blame her for is not putting good will into it. Because she does everything she can to do the best she can...

2018...a BIG year 2018 all the same with an impressive production of titles. And quality, always and again quality...

2020...and another decade, one ! It remains to be seen whether she will finally be able to get back into the race or if, on the contrary, she will disappear from the radar almost definitively...
