Not much info about The Sound other than the fact that it's an English band formed in 1979 and made up of Adrian Borland, Graham Bailey, Mike Dudley and Benita Marshall.
Group that will remain mainly in the musical history of the 80s for the enormous Single "One thousand reasons" released in 1984.
As such alone, we had to devote this article to them.

1979 ... very punchy beginnings. Difficult to realize at this stage the real value of the group. We will have to wait a little longer to judge ...
1980 ... the transition to the 80s is done in roughly the same conditions. This group is totally excited and you can hear it !
1981 ... there is potential, that's clear. When the group begins to put the foot on the brake pedal, as if by chance, the whole is already much more coherent ...
1982 ... the more the years go by, the more the group is structured. We therefore have every chance of seeing them soon produce THE title that is going well ...
1982 ... a rather indefinable style, at the crossroads of several influences. The problem is that at some point, they really have to find the style that goes well ...
1984 ... after a year 1983 empty, here they are back in this year 1984 in a certain form. And the rest will clearly prove it !
1984 ... starting with this clearly inspired title. The group has managed to evolve as he should and the result is up to expectations
1984 ... which will undoubtedly remain as their most successful title. Nothing extraordinary but a good job quite simply and just for that, we salute the performance !
1985 ... the year 1984 was a Grand Cru, the year 1985 will come closer. The band has finally found his style that goes well and now it's playing awesome !
1985 ... of course, this group will never reach the first places of the Charts but he will have at least had the merit to propose things for the less interesting. We will largely be satisfied with it !
1985 ... further proof of their coming of age. Everything is structured, everything is fluid and the sound fits perfectly with the times. What more...
1986 ... the adventure continues for good. The group still believes in it and continues to offer titles of a certain qualitative level. Hope it lasts ...
1987 ... an adventure which comes to an end with this title. The group will not remain as one of the most gifted of its generation but he does not have to be ashamed of its discography, that's for sure...
1987...come on, it's not quite over yet. The previous track was just the last one to be officially released as a Single...
1987...their last album contained other Singles that were quite interesting, it would have been a shame to overlook them...
1999...we thought the adventure wouldn't go beyond 1987, and yet here they are back at the very end of the 90s...
1999...an unexpected comeback that unfortunately went completely unnoticed. Only die-hard fans ultimately paid any attention...
1999... so, their last title or not ? Because we now know that with them, a comeback is always possible. To be continued, or not...
