Me Tarzan ! You Jane...

Century, despite its Anglo-Saxon name, is a French group formed in Marseille in 1985 by Jean-Louis Milford and Jean Duperron. Quickly joined by Eric Traissard, Laurent Cokelaere, Christian Portes and Jean-Dominique Sallaberry.

It’s the huge single “Lover why”, released the same year, that will propel them to the fore and in a resounding way. The title is a real planetary success.

In 1986 the album "And soul it goes ..." was released, an album which contained "Lover why" but which also contained another flagship single with "Jane", which was released shortly after the album. New planetary success.

It took two years and many complications to see the 1988 album "Is it red ?". Album which, paradoxical as it may seem, will never be released in France. May which is a great success in Portugal and South America.

Despite this, the dynamics are broken within the group. A group that will not recover and will eventually separate in 1989.

Leaving behind pieces of anthology 100% Made in France ! Respect !

Clips :

1985 ... for a first title, they sign here one of the most beautiful Ultimate Slow of the decade, even of this very end of the XXth century. We couldn't have asked for a better start. And they are French. Yes, yes ! MAS-TER-FUL !

1986 ... they repeat a year later and offer us a new legendary slow. In only 2 titles the group will have offered himself a direct ticket for posterity. HU-GE !

1986 ... no more sweetness, this time it hits. We literally go from one extreme to another. This title will not really have the same level of success as its predecessors ...

1986 ... back to what they do best. Intimist mode suits them much better than Rock mode, that's clear !

1987 ... in the same vein. An intimist touch among the best of the decade, well done to the little Frenchies !

1988 ... a new demonstration of their talent. Even if this title will not remain like the Ultimate Slow of the century, it remains nonetheless of quality

1988 ... in Hard mode. It's not Scorpions who wants to. Disconcerting...and unfortunately somewhat off topic for once concerning them ...

1992 ... we end as we started. All in finesse, as they know how to do so well. What more !
