Lene Lovich, whose real name is Lili-Marlene Premilovich, is an Anglo-American singer-songwriter born in Detroit, USA, but who emigrated to England at the age of 13.
She really began her artistic career in 1975 when she joined The Diversions, a group that produced a few singles but which went somewhat unnoticed.
The real solo career began a year later in 1976 with the release of the title "I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus", a single which, too, will go completely unnoticed.
She would achieve some semblance of success the following year in 1977 when she wrote the lyrics to a track that would become one of the biggest dance hits of the 1970s, Cerrone's "Supernature".
It was not until 1978 that she finally saw his efforts rewarded with the album "Stateless". Album which will know a nice planetary success in particular thanks to the enormous single "Lucky number", single which leaves one year later in 1979 and which will finally bring to the singer the notoriety so awaited. Album which will also produce another top hit "Say when".
On her momentum, the singer released a new album "Flex" in 1979. Album which also became popular with the public and produced a new top hit "Bird song".
Which will unfortunately be the singer's last notorious hit. During the 80s, she will only once again achieve success with the title "New toy" in 1982.
