Last night a DJ saved my life...

Indeep is a group formed in the early 80s in New York by musician Michael Cleveland. Which will be joined by the services of 2 luxury choristers, Réjane Magloire and Rose Marie Ramsey.

Group which will know its hour of glory two years later in 1982 when its first single "Last night a DJ saved my life" was released. An enormous track which will set fire to all Dancefloor on the planet and which will undoubtedly remain as one of the biggest dance hits of the end of the 20th century. Flagship title taken from the album of the same name which was released in 1983.

Album which will produce two other hits which are "When boys talk" and "Buffalo Bill", singles which will both be released in 1983 and which will also experience a nice run in the Charts but without comparison with the previous one as the bar is high.

A year later in 1984, the album "Pajama party time" was released, which produced the group's last hit with the single "The record keeps spinning". An album that will also be the last.

The band will be back down as quickly as it has risen, passing through '80s musical history like a shooting star. But the adventure will not end there for Réjane Magloire, who will subsequently join another project that will make talk about him. And not least since she will participate in the enormous Technotronic adventure on the album "Body to Body".

To discover or rediscover.

Clips :

1982 .... the Masterpiece ! The group is simply signing one of the biggest dance hits of all time. A breathtaking introduction that brings One Shot the group into the musical legend of the 80s. MAS-TER-FUL !

1983 ... how to compete with the previous gem...? Literally impossible as the bar is high. So even if this title is of quality, the comparison necessarily hurts ...

1983 ... a BIG year 1983 with several high caliber titles. Even if the group will not have a career as long as most of the others, it is clear that he is not devoid of talent, far from it !

1983 ... undeniably one of the best Dance sounds of the moment, but unfortunately that is not enough to keep them ahead of the pack. Difficult to find the stroke of genius of the first title ...

1984 ... a most astonishing change of tempo for a title which will inevitably have a hard time finding its place on the music scene. Neither Dance nor Ultimate Slow, one wonders what is the goal...?

1984 ... an adventure which will have lasted just 2 years but which will have nevertheless left in the history several titles of great caliber including 1 anthology. In this regard alone, hats off !
