Ladies choice...

Not much information about Stone City Band except that it is an American group formed by Rick James in 1976.

Group which will remain mainly in the musical history of the Eighties for the excellent single "Ladies choice" released in 1983. Single which will know a nice success on a planetary level that year there.

As such alone, he deserved this article.

To discover or rediscover.

Clips :

1980 ... an astonishing, even confusing, first title. In Intimate mode, of course, it's a pretty good start. But with a completely atypical rhythm ...

1980 ... there, on the other hand, we find the sounds of the moment. The group is finally in order of battle for a sequel that promises to be the most interesting ...

1980 ... after some hesitation at the start, the group is now in cruising mode and the big-caliber titles start to roll out ...

1980 ... the big potato, to say the least. Even if the level is quite high, there is no Premium quality title on the horizon for now ...

1981 ... here they are in semi-reggae mode, a daring bet and above all a very risky bet. And who unfortunately will not pay ....

1981 ... nothing to say, it's a good job this fairly free cover of the cult title of Kinks dating from 1965. But that is not always enough to make the difference

1983 ... the happy new year. After a somewhat sluggish start, the group finally finds the style that will make the difference. Starting with this title...

1983 ... then comes THIS title. An enormous title which will finally allow them to reach the long awaited consecration and which will remain as one of the biggest dance hits of the decade. A title to end in apotheosis because the group will disappear behind. MAS-TER-FUL !
