JoBoxers is an English group formed in 1982 and composed of the English Rob Marche, Dave Collard, Chris Bostock, Sean McLusky and the American singer Dig Wayne. Group which has a first notorious success with the single "Boxerbeat" in 1983.
But it is especially the following title, "Just got lucky", which will destroy the house the same year and explode the notoriety of the group. The single ranks at the top places in the British and American Charts. So much so that more than 250,000 copies will be sold worldwide. Singles from the album "Like Gangbusters" which was also released in 1983.
Album which will produce two other singles which are "Johnny friendly" and "Jealous love", singles whose success will not exceed this time the borders of the perfidious albion.
A second album "Skin and bone" was released two years later in 1985. Album that produced only one single with the title "Is this really the first time". But neither the album nor the single will meet the expected success. Failure from which the group will not recover and which will end up breaking up shortly after.

Jealous love 1983
She's got sex 1983
Is really the first time 1985
1983 ... first title and first ranked hit. The group makes a sensational entry into the big leagues and demonstrates an obvious talent that asks only to be expressed
1983 ... which will surely remain as their most emblematic title. A light and airy title at will and which spins at the speed of light. What better way to give energy. HU-GE !
1983 ... an absolutely exceptional year 1983 for the group with a plethora of titles and above all a plethora of successes. An incredible success which will unfortunately be short-lived ...
1983 ... fourth ranked title, just that. On a much more moderate tempo than on the previous singles. Like what, they know how to do too !
1983 ... an unranked title but which once again shows the extent of the talent of this group. A musical know-how that undeniably positions them as one of the phenomena of the moment across the Channel
1985 ... small air gap in 1984 and they are back in 1985 in great shape. A return that unfortunately rhymes with last night because it will be their last title. A 'shooting star' group with the most limited discography but of obvious quality
