Chris de Burgh, whose real name is Christopher Davison, is an Anglo-Irish singer-songwriter who can boast of having sold no less than 45 million records worldwide to date.
Artist who really started his artistic career in 1974 by signing with the label A&M Records, label which allowed him to release his first album “Far beyond these castle walls”. Album that will go almost unnoticed except… in Brazil.
He finally experienced a semblance of success a year later in 1975 when the title "A spaceman came traveling" was released, a title which was very successful...in Ireland only.
But he will have to wait for the year 1982 to finally be rewarded for his efforts thanks to the album "The gataway", an album which will be a hit all around the planet and offer him his first major hit with the Single "Don't pay the ferryman'. And to a lesser extent “Ship to shore”.
Success amplified the following year with the release in 1983 of the Single "High on emotion", Single which literally exploded the notoriety of the singer and which will remain as one of his biggest successes. Title taken from the album "Man on the line" which was released a year later in 1984.
The supreme consecration arrives with the release of the album "Into the light" in 1986, album from which will be extracted the same year the enormous and sumptuous Single "The lady in red", title which will make a huge planetary success and offer to the artist the most successful success of all his discography.
A great adventure that continued in 1988 with the release of the album "Flying Colors" which produced a new top hit with the title "Missing you" on the one hand. As well as with the release of the compilation "Park to a flame" in 1989 from which the flagship Single "This waiting heart" will be extracted on the other hand.
The 80s will have seen him reveal himself and explode in the eyes of the world, the 90s will see him confirm all the good that we think of him. Starting with the album "Power of ten" which was released in 1992 and which produced the global top hit "Seperate tables". Then in 1994 with the album "This way up", album which will unfortunately be extracted the last notorious hit of the artist namely "Blonde hair blue jeans".
Because everything that will come out subsequently will in no way meet the success of previous opus.

1994 ... a totally supercharged title, something extremely rare concerning him. In any case, the public follows and asks for more given its level of success in the Charts !
