Jennifer Rush, whose real name is Heidi Stern, is an American singer who started her artistic career while still living in Germany in the city of Flensburg. Coming from a family where music is omnipresent (father an opera singer, mother pianist, brother musicians, one of whom is a saxophonist), she released a first album "Heidi Stern" in 1979 which was only very successful.
It was in 1984 that everything suddenly accelerated when a new self-titled album was released, this time under the name "Jennifer Rush". Album that really hits the mark and contains one of the biggest slows of the 1980s, namely the intergalactic hit "The power of love". It's a global tidal wave ! The singer's fame literally explodes overnight.
The 2 albums which follow will also record impressive sales scores. First "Movin" in 1985 and then "Heart over mind" in 1987.
As paradoxical as it may seem, the albums will work well but no Single from these two albums will have the same fate as “The power of love”. The ones who do the best will be "Destiny" and "I come undone".
Other albums will be released later but without meeting the same enthusiasm as for the previous three.
