He burned his idols...

Not much information about Ritchy (real name Laurent Manghi) other than the fact that he is a French singer who will remain mainly in the musical history of the 80s for the high-caliber single "Poupée sucrée" released in 1982.

As such alone, he deserved this article.

To discover or rediscover.

Discography (among others ...) :

  • J’ai brulé mes idoles 1982

  • Poupée sucrée 1982

  • Rap’N Roll 1983

  • Musique ma folie 1984

  • Brunes, blondes sans oublier les rousses 1987

  • Mega-Mexico 1990

Clips :

1982 ... the beginnings of a little youngster who will look more like an alien than anything else in the 1980s when everything is just electronics and drum machines ...

1982 ... and yet, he will know his hour of glory with THIS title. A title completely outside the time and standards of the moment but which still works perfectly. Incredible but true !

1983 ... well, it is clear that given his style, it will be almost impossible for him to repeat the feat achieved on the previous title. But let's not sell the bear skin too quickly ...

1984 ... we thought that mass was said for him but it was bad to know him. He is back in force on the front of the stage thanks to this title which sticks much more in tune with the times. And the miracle will take place, like what, nothing is ever finished in music !

1987 ... unfortunately, the upturn was short-lived. The rest will be much more complicated to manage despite a significant quality of the title ...

1990 ... a title that is more anecdote, even caricature than anything else. Daring to do an operetta at the dawn of the 90s is more of a suicide bet than anything else. And this time around, the miracle will unfortunately not take place. End of the adventure ...
