Robbie Nevil is an American singer-songwriter who started playing music at the age of 7 but who really began his artistic career at the age of 25. A start in 1983 which saw him begin to write for others and not least like the Pointer Sisters, El Debarge, Alison Moyet and other Earth Wind and Fire.
He released a first solo album in 1986, an eponymous album which will allow him to see his notoriety explode overnight. An album mainly driven by the enormous single "C’est la vie", a track that will make a real worldwide hit and set fire to all Dancefloor around the world.
Album that will produce two more hits the following year in 1987 with the singles "Dominoes" and "Wot's it to ya".
Success confirmed the following year in 1988 with the release of the album "A place like this" less successful than its predecessor but still successful. "Back on holiday" in 1988 and "Somebody like you" in 1989 will be the main extracts and achieve more than honorable scores.
Small 2-year break before the release of the album "Day 1" in 1991. Particularly inspired album which allowed him to come back in force on the front of the stage, in particular thanks to the flagship title "Just like you". A shattering return which will unfortunately be the last.

1986 ... first title and real masterstroke ! The singer is going to sign here quite simply one of the biggest dance hits of the decade. We couldn't ask for a better start ! MAS-TER-FUL !
1987 ... a second title of great caliber and which allows him to prove that he is not there by chance. Certainly, the success will be less but high level all the same and it is already that !
1987 ... a dynamic which does not weaken and which allows the singer to string together hits with obvious ease. A particularly effective style and which especially pleases !
1988 ... admittedly, he will not reach the court of the Very Great but a good number of artists would be largely satisfied with a career like his. Even if the dynamic is weakening, it still holds up largely
1989 ... production of titles slows down more and more and it is now only one small title per year. Well, sometimes quality is better than quantity. We're going to say it like that ...
1991 ... even if he no longer manages to produce very high-caliber titles, he still manages to maintain its head in the water and to pass the course of the 1990s. The essential is preserved...
1991 ... rhythm, rhythm and more rhythm. One word to sum up a very pleasant career. Nothing great, except maybe his first title, but the whole is still high level
1992 ... well, at the end, on the inspiration side, it is rather 'no surprises'. Good work overall but a pity that he was unable to find the stroke of genius he had at the very beginning of his career ...
