Hazel O’Connor is an English singer-songwriter who began her artistic career not as a singer, but as an actress in the 1975 film 'Girls come first'.
It was only 5 years later, in 1980, that she began singing on the soundtrack for the movie Breaking Glass in which she played the role of Kate. The soundtrack is a real success, notably thanks to the titles "Eight day" and "Will you". The singer's notoriety literally explodes.
During the promotional tour, she chose as the opening act a group completely unknown at the time, a certain group called Duran Duran. Sacred flair when you see the band's career in the years to come ...
The forthcoming album "Sons and lovers" is far from achieving the same level of success as its predecessor.
Success returned the following year with the 1981 release of the album "Cover plus". Album which produced 2 major singles which are "Do what you gotta do" and "(Cover plus) We’re all grown up".
Latest notorious successes because as paradoxical as it may seem, all the titles that will come out subsequently, and there will be some, none will be classified. It was especially in the theater and in television series that she would regain success in the 20 years that followed.

1979 ... a first title with a certain quality, with a sound in perfect harmony with the standards of the moment. Promising !
1980 ... then comes the film "Breaking glass", film which will upset the destiny of the singer from all points of view. A providential film that will allow the singer to see her notoriety explode overnight !
1980 ... a BIG year 1980 with no less than 4 titles on the clock. A year that started off with a bang and ends in style with this new hit
1981 ... the year 1980 will have revealed the singer in an indisputable way but it is the year 1981 which will definitively consecrate her. Not necessarily with this title but especially with the one that will follow ...
1981 ... then THIS title comes ! A track with brilliant inspiration and which makes her One Shot fit into the musical legend of the 80s. Undoubtedly one of the most emblematic titles of the beginning of the decade. MAS-TER-FUL !
1981 ... a year 1981 which unrolls quietly with a succession of major hits. The strikethrough side of the singer continues to have its effect ...
1981 ... the pass of 4. A year 1981 which will have confirmed her as one of the indisputable phenomena of the moment across the Channel
1982 ... the rest will prove to be more complicated to manage than expected. Only one small hit on the clock for 1982. The start of a decline that will prove to be irreversible ...
1984 ... which does not prevent her from continuing to release songs of certain quality, and to say the least confusing. Sensitive ears refrain !
1985 ... and yet it is not for lack of trying. But the competition is formidable and without a very high level of inspiration, how to resist ...
1986 ... the adventure continues for some reason but it is clear that the singer does more than figuration. Hard law of the trade ...
1987 ... even if she has not been on familiar terms with the stars for a while, that does not prevent her from producing titles which are really worth the detour. In particular this one which is combined with 2 and which works my faith very well !
1993 ... she will attempt the transition to the 90s, but what did not work at the end of the 80s is unlikely to work during this new decade. An adventure that is definitely drawing to a close ...
