David et Jonathan is a French duo composed of David Marouani, better known as David Gategno, and Jonathan Bermudes.
They will experience two first major successes with the singles "Gina", but also and especially "Bella vita", both released in 1987.
But it is above all a year later in 1988 that they will definitively become part of the musical legend of the 80s on the French side thanks to the huge hit "Est-ce que tu voien pour les vacances ?". Gold title served on a platter by Didier Barbelivien and which will stay as one of the most emblematic titles of the decade.
Despite releasing other singles thereafter, the duo never regained an equivalent level of success and eventually went their separate ways in 1990.
Jonathan will quickly leave the world of show biz, which will not be the case with David who will compose for him for artists such as Natasha St Pier, Nolwenn Leroy, Tina Arena, Céline Dion, Garou, Julio Iglsias and other Isabelle Boulay, nothing only that !
