Fashion is an English group formed in 1978 in Birmingham by John Mulligan, Dik Davis and Al ‘Luke Sky’ James. Group that will see the subsequent arrival of Dee Harris, Alan Darby and Marlon Recchi.
The first album "Product Perfect" was released in 1979 on a fairly punk, post-punk-oriented basis. Success will be primarily esteem.
Faced with this lack of success, the group was partially reworked in 1982, the sound changed and the result was not long in coming. The album "Fabrique" which came out the same year was a real success and saw the group finally rewarded for their efforts. A first time with the title “Streetplayer (Mechanik)”, a single which has enjoyed great success across the Channel. And to a lesser extent with “Love shadow”.
The band returned to success two years later in 1984 when the album "Twilight of Idols" was released. Less success than the previous album, but success nonetheless. Mainly thanks to the single “Eye talk” which will have a nice run in the Charts.
Last notable success for the group which will release other titles thereafter. Quality titles but which will never be able to compete with their predecessors.
