Always doesn't mean forever...

Hazell Dean, whose real name is Hazel Dean Poole, is an English singer who had her first success in 1984 with the single "Evergreen / Jealous love".

But it is especially the title "Searchin '(I Gotta Find A Man)" released the same year that will allow her to climb to the top of the Charts. Followed by little "Whatever I do (Wherever I go)" which will do even better.

In 1985 the single "They say it’s gonna rain" was released, followed by "Stand up" in 1986. The years go by but are hardly alike : the two titles are far from equaling the sales scores of the year 1984.

Back in force in 1988 with the enormous "Who's leaving who" which allowed her to catch up with the leading pack. The title is a huge success.

The album "Always" comes out in stride and makes a more than honorable run in the Top Albums.

She will experience one last major success with the title "Love pains".

To discover or rediscover.

Clips :

1975 ... the very first steps. Who would imagine at this point the enormous career that awaits young Hazell in the years to come. Not many people ...

1976 ... oh what a beautiful time those 70s were. Everything was outdated but everything was so simple. A freshness and innocence that we miss so much these days ...

1976...despite a trendy sound and style, it still won't take off. But you have to give time to time as they say...

1977 ... an obvious predisposition for the Intimist. And yet, it is not in this area that she will reap fame and fortune, far from it ...

1977...but for the moment it is an area that attracts her to the highest point at first sight. She will still have to ask herself the right questions at some point...

1981 ... the beginning of the 80's which combines with 2. A shocking duo, but above all charming, nice but nothing more. Little Hazell will still have to work to hope to stand out from the crowd ...

1983 ... but it is this title that will make all the difference. It was released for the first time in 1983 and enjoyed relative success. Then came out in 1984 and this time it was a real hit !

1984 ... the rise in power thanks to this luxury cover. A surprisingly Dance cover of Barbra Streisand's flagship title ...

1984...here she is again in Intimist mode and a new one won't bring her more than that. Decidedly, when it does not want, it does not want...

1984 ... HER big year. After the remixed version of 'Searchin' which allowed her to obtain the biggest success of her career, we find her on her 2nd title of the year 1984. And guess what, it also ends in notable success !

1984 ... a truly incredible 1984 that saw her go on hit after hit. And suddenly reach a planetary star status

1985 ... it's going to be hard to compete with the previous year but she shows once again that she is not there by chance

1985 ... this one will do even better than the previous one. A great success on the Old Continent which confirms the singer's obvious talent

1986 ... the year 1986 is going to be a little bit lower. Good job, but this year will serve more as a year of transition than anything else ...

1986 ... even if that year will not bring her her biggest successes, it at least allows her to consolidate her position on the front of the stage. It's already that !

1987 ... we find her in Hi-NRG mode in this year 1987. And the least we can say is that it pulses !

1988 ... which will surely remain as one of his best titles, if not the best. This is the second biggest global success of her career thanks to this perfectly successful cover of Anne Murray's title released two years earlier in 1986. HU-GE !

1988 ... the year 1984 was undoubtedly its best year. The year 1988 will approach more or less. Hit on hit !

1988 ... a triplet of hits which ends in beauty with this title. Admittedly, the least prestigious of the 3, but still

1989 ... the end of the decade will prove to be more complicated to manage than expected. Despite pieces of more than certain quality ...

1991 ... the change of decade will unfortunately not allow the singer to find a level of success equivalent to what she experienced the previous decade. And this despite the production of high-caliber Dance track

1993 ... she hangs on and does better than resist. But when it doesn't want anymore, it doesn't want anymore. Difficult to fight in these conditions ...

1994 ... after Hi-NRG, here she is in the world of House. She will have tried everything the bougresse !

2011...we will lose sight of her for almost 17 years and here she is back at the beginning of the 2010 decade in a form that we will qualify as certain. Certain but insufficient to transcend this cover of the title of Ellie Waren dating from 1980...

2012...in any case, she does everything she can to try to stick to the latest musical trends of the moment. At least that's it...

2013... not only does she sticks perfectly to the latest musical trends of the moment but in addition its titles are far from devoid of interest...

2013...here she revisits one of Pat Benatar's flagship titles dating from 1984 and her ultra Dance version at least has the merit of being original...

2014...on this one we go back to 1968 on this also ultra Dance cover of the title of Dusty Springfield. And why not tell me...

2015... she won't rank any title during this 2010 decade but she is far from being ridiculous. In any case, we will be satisfied with it !

2015...she had everything she needed to get back into the race but fate decided otherwise. But good try anyway...

2016 ... she will not have produced anything during the previous decade but we feel that she needs to catch up during this decade 2010, it is clear ...

2016... she now revisits the title of Abba dating from 1980. Once again this version will have at least the merit of originality...

2019... she now takes us back to Patti Smith dating from 1978. As for the previous times, nothing exceptional but an interesting vision of the title...

2019...a 2010 decade that will have seen her back in top form. Too bad the general public didn't notice...

2022...and here she is even going to attempt the transition to the next decade. A desire to continue the adventure as far as possible which undoubtedly commands respect...

2022 ... in any case, it is the grassroots fans who rejoice at the highest point every time they see her return. And it's far from over, at least we imagine...
