Kova Rea is a French singer of Martinican origin who started his artistic career at the very beginning of the 80s by appearing in small roles in the cinema in films like "Les uns et les autres" and others "Moi y'en a vouloir des sous” by Jean Yanne.
A multi-talented artist, he also became magazine leader at the Paradis Latin from 1980 to 1985 as well as at Bobino.
At the same time, he joined the group African Magic Combo in 1982 and then played backing vocals for Bernard Lavilliers from 1985.
It was in 1988 that his solo career suddenly exploded when he released his first album "Les Festivités" from which the flagship single "Nuit d'amour" was to be issued. Single that will propel him overnight on the front of the stage. And which will remain as his main success.
He released a second album "Pas de limites" in 1990 but it did not produce any major hits.

Discography (among others ...) :
Nuit d’amour 1988
Soudain il ne reste qu’une chanson 1989
Sommeil chaud 1991
1988 ... THE title of a lifetime! This title will have been enough to make the singer fit into the musical legend of the 80s. A Dance title which works perfectly and which will remain as one of the big hits of the decade on the French side
1989 ... a sequel of certain quality but which cannot compete with the previous title as the bar is high. Inspiration is a capricious goddess who does not allow herself to be easily tamed ...
1989 ... always so Dance, still as light but this title will not do better than its predecessor. Hard, hard...
1991 ... the change of decade will unfortunately not change anything. On the contrary, the decline will even tend to accelerate ...
1992 ... a duo of shock and charm to end in style. A title that works rather well and which offers the 2 protagonists a nice little well-deserved success
