A touch of great efficiency...

Secession is a Scottish group formed in 1983 by Peter Thomson, Jack Ross, Jim Ross and Carole L. Branston.

Originally called "The Gift".

Little interesting things about the life of this group except that they will know their hour of glory with the title "Touch (Part 3)" which will be one of the biggest hits of the year 1984.

They will also produce other titles which it would have been a shame to ignore.

To discover or rediscover.

Discography (among others ...) :

• Betrayal 1983

• Fire Island 1984

• Touch (Part 3) 1984

• Michael 1986

• The magician 1987

• Promise 1987

• Radioland 1987

• Sneakyville 1987

Clips :

1983 ... very New Wave beginnings. It remains to refine the style and find a sound more in line with the commercial standards of the time ...

1984 ... a sound and melodic quality which grows from year to year, fortunately. The best is yet to come !

1984 ... a single title will suffice for this group to enter the musical legend of the 80s. THIS title. Undoubtedly one of the biggest hits of that year and the decade itself. HU-GE !

1986 ... now the group has found its style and above all its sound. Even if this title will not really know the same level of success as its predecessor, everything is now proceeding quietly ...

1987 ... certainly, the group does not play in the court of the Greatest but the talent is there, just like the quality. The proof once again with this title !

1987 ... a beautiful year 87 which sees them chaining several large caliber titles. To our greatest delight !

1987 ... a decidedly prolific and particularly inspired year. But who will unfortunately be the last of the group. And yes, already !

1987 ... a very Gothico-Dance ending that clashes with everything they had produced until then. Well, why not ...
