Scotch, a group that one would have thought of Anglo-Saxon origin, is in truth a concept straight from Italy, coming directly from the Italo Disco sector, or more precisely from its younger little sister namely Italo Dance. Group founded by 2 accomplices that are Fabio Margutti and Vince Lancini. Italian dance is characterized by a subtle mixture between different musical currents of the 80s, on the one hand fragments of sound of the disco era with which we are going to associate more synthetic sounds typical of the New-Wave. It was the year 1984 which propelled them to the summits of the Charts with 2 major titles : "Disco band" on one side which was a hit worldwide and "Take me up", with more modest success but which set fire to to all French night clubs. Follow the singles "Delirio mind" in 1986 which will hit him in Germany. "Mirage" in Sweden. Then "Money runner" in Norway. Finally in 1987 by the single "Pictures" which hit the headlines in Sweden.
