Mel and Kim are an English duo formed in 1986 and composed of sisters Melanie and Kim Appleby.

Their first single "Showing out (Get fresh at the weekend)" was released the same year and enjoyed great success across the Channel as well as an honorable score in the USA.

It was not until the next single, "Respectable", and the year 1987 to see the duo propelled overnight to the top of the Charts. The title is a huge hit and the popularity of the two sisters literally explodes, especially thanks to their outfits which are all the rage among fans.

The single “F.L.M." comes out in stride and it is again a success, admittedly less but success nonetheless.

A year later, in 1988, the single "That’s the way it is" was released which also entered the Top10 singles.

The great adventure unfortunately takes a much darker turn when Mel reveals that she has cancer.

She died in 1990, thus definitively stopping the beautiful epic of this colorful duo and which was promised a radiant musical future.

2018...a nice posthumous gift with the release of this title which had never seen the light of day. We would have liked there to be others...
