Nik Kershaw, real name Nicholas Kershaw, is an English singer-songwriter who began his solo career in 1982 by signing with the MCA label.
Label which allows him to release a first Single "I won't let the sun go down on me" the following year in 1983. And for a first try, it is particularly successful given the level of success achieved, especially in the Scandinavian countries.
A level of success that will skyrocket when the album "Human racing" was released in 1984, an album that was to make a real worldwide hit, notably thanks to the enormous Single "Wouldn’t it be good". Single which will propel the young singer on the front of the stage in a shattering way.
An exceptional year in 1984 for the artist, as the album "The riddle" was released in the process, an album which in turn was to hit the mark and produced the flagship Single of the same name and to a lesser extent "Wide boy". In just 2 years, the singer will have become one of the biggest phenomena of the moment.
An incredible adventure which unfortunately ends with the semi-failure 2 years later of the album "Radio musicola". Album which will know nothing of the level of success reached by its predecessors and which will struggle to produce any Single of planetary class except the title "When a heart beats", only title to pull out of the game.
A counter-performance from which the singer will never recover and the few albums which will be released subsequently will go unnoticed to say the least.
