The lovers of Verona...
Al Bano and Romina Power is an Italian duo, at the time of their splendor husband and wife and who will eventually separate in the late 90s.
Al Bano, whose real name is Albano Carrisi, meets Romina Power, daughter of the American actor Tyrone Power in 1967. Their first album "Dialogo" was released in 1975. Estimate success.
In 1976, they represented Italy at the Eurovision Competition with the title "We’ll live it all again" and took an honorable 7th place.
And it was six years later in 1982 that they were to be raised to the rank of planetary star when the single "Felicita" was released, a single that was truly a huge success worldwide. Two albums were released that year, "Felicita" and "Che angelo sei".
In 1984, they won the SanRemo Music Festival with the song "Ci sara", a title taken from the album "Effeto amore".
The following year, they participate in Eurovision again and end up in ... the same place as the previous time.
The year 1986 saw the release of the album "Semper semper" which confirmed their success. And in 1987, it was the album "Liberta !" which is coming out in turn and which will also have a good journey, particularly in Italy and the rest of Europe.
Other albums will be released later, but only "Fotografia di un momento" released in 1990 will be relatively successful.
Al Bano and Romina Power, one of the most mythical and glamorous duets of the 80s !

1970 ... very local color debut. It's cute wishes but there's still work, it's clear !
1976 ... 6 years of slow but obvious evolution. And the result this time is up to the task, the couple is ready for a suite that promises to be huge !
1977 ... come on, more than a few efforts and some adjustments to finally be able to get to the top
1979 ... the end of the decade once again under the sign of romance. All carried by an anthology clip (lollll ...) typical of the late 70s ...
1981 ... here they are again at the start of a new decade, a new decade that will literally see them explode. Here they sign their first major major hit. And who will not be the last, to say the least ...
1982 ... then everything suddenly accelerates with THIS interplanetary tube which brings them One Shot to the musical Pantheon of the 80s. Surely one of the biggest hits of the decade with a Romina Power at the height of its beauty. MAS-TER-FUL !
1982 ... a decidedly exceptional year with a second direct top hit in the process. Nothing and no one can stop them now !
1984 ... a pretty story that unfolds quietly for this solar couple. A unique couple who will have truly illuminated the decade
1985 ... a single title for the year 1985. We are far from the summits of the Charts but the couple still works as well
1986 ... the two lovebirds try their hand at the Italo Disco. Well, we are far from Hi-NRG but the result is quite nice
1986 ... another nice title. It may have gone somewhat unnoticed but it also works perfectly
1987 ... they needed at least one Ultimate Slow worthy of the name in their register. It is now done !
1988 ... another title that went somewhat unnoticed and which deserved recognition far superior to what it was
1988 ... in full euphoria Italo Disco. Well, on the other hand, given their origins, it would be a shame not to rub it ...
1990 ... the end of one of the most beautiful musical Love stories of the end of the 20th century. A style of couple that only the 80s were able to produce ...
1991 ... come on, we end in style with a last sumptuous title where the 2 lovebirds are at the peak of their possibilities. MA-GIC !
